I had an awesome day at work today. All nice people. We went into a lady's house this morning in North Philly, she was about 50yrs. old. I looked in front of her tv and she had an Atari 2600 so I yelled out like the nerd that I am "wow an Atari 2600"!!! She asked if I still played mine. "Well I haven't had one in 20yrs." I told her. She replys "do you want one? I have another.
Not only did she give me the system, but she gave me two joysticks and four games! This is the single best random act of kindness that a stranger has ever done for me. All I need to get is the power adapter (ebay-3$) and the tv hookup.
This is why I believe in Karma. Sunday I took my neighbor's kid to the skatepark and lent him one of my extra boards. When he explained that his parents couldn't replace his stolen one just yet, I gave him mine. Now this women gave me the Atari, Karma. I know that ataris are pretty cheap on ebay, but she didn't know that. For all she knew it could of been worth hundreds. She didn't even consider the value, she just knew it made me happy, that's killer. I offer to pay her for it but she declined. So I told her if she needed any help for her cable to ask for tech 739 (me) and I'll help her out best I can. I feel good now because people usually get me down.
Another customer who was cool was a guy named Mark who ownes the bar called "North Third" here's the site: (click me) Have any of you been there? He told me to check it out and ask for him when I go. If you haven't been there yet like me, check it out the dude was a nice guy.
