I set up a Twitter account. I've found Tweetie to be a great way to kill a minute on elevator rides or Skytrain trips. I've always thought that Jeopardy was more fun in reverse; the answers ridiculous to the questions posed. Take todays muse;
Who is Lenin? Times Change: In 1990 a statue of this Russian was removed from a Bucharest square after three decades there.

Through a mutual friend, I got tickets to the Olympic opening ceremonies dress rehearsal last night, and was very impressed. I didn't know what to expect and have found watching the ceremonies on TV to be a bit of a snooze-fest, being there live was very very awe-inspiring. Sorry, no spoilers, though, if you need to know, Twitter search will tell you damned near everything.
Also, really amusing article a few days back from Daniel Lee; a jingle writer of sorts for California slot machines. You'd be surprised by how seriously he takes his work.

Very cool about the dress rehearsal. I just watched a torch hand-off on the relay from one runner to another - it was pretty inspiring.
