I AM the naked boxer.
Fable: the lost chapters has so far been fantastic in re-play value, there is a lot more to do, a lot more random things to find, and its just all around entertaining. With every mission you accept, you get to choose "boasts" where you bet a certain amount of money that you can do a mission a certain way. Sometimes its not using weapons, sometimes it's a time-limit, or certain things needed to survive. For the majority of the missions I chose to be a naked boxer, no armor and no weapons. Ahh great fun, and I don't even know why.
My hero is a tattooed sexy beast, I walk into a room and woman (and men) are completely in love with me. I chose the title "Runemaster" and am adept at using spells, basically I walk into an area and shit just DIES, no questions asked.
The one thing I still think they needed to change was the gender of your hero. It's completely do-able, just switch the roles in the story between the boy and his sister. I'm also kind of disappointed in the ageing thing, I'm a 45 year old man, and I'm not even half-way done. One old hero if you ask me.
Also Lego Star Wars 2 finally arrived, Ahh the Lego genius taken to whole new places. Brilliant. Chewbacca rips off arms, Leia does this bitch-slap that kills things, and everything is completely lego-ized and goofy and incredibly awesome.
Resident Evil 4 is laying on the Silent Hill vibes pretty heavy at the end of this game. Frantic breathing fills the speakers, opening lockers isn't always a good idea (opened one, bloody bag, as soon as I backed up it started jumping around) bloody sinks, dark atmosphere, very..creepy.
And, on beating RE4, I have to say; HARDEST GAME EVER! Man that was ridiculous sometimes. I've never had such a hard time with a game. Ever.
Apparently Metal Gear Solid changed the way we look at games, largely composed of cut scenes and insanely ridiculous hero-moves, only RE took it one more step--you have to pay attention during the cut scenes or you could DIE. Pressing 2 buttons will generally save you, but you have a split-second to do so. No getting up to make a sandwich for this game, Gotta sit still and pay attention the WHOLE TIME!
But I am glad I am done with it, and glad I ordered Lego Star Wars instead of just buying it, now I can safely move on with Resident Evil on an island far behind me. I'm getting better about finishing my video games, its actually quite nice.
I went to Gamestop the other day and realized something amazing; I've devoured every game that is out at the moment already, beaten in full and enjoyed (mostly) thoroughly, I need something new. I bought the ..lost chapters.. of Fable, which was a good game, but very short. Since I've already beaten the full version (to a bloody pulp I may add, beating it as both good and evil), I don't count it as a new game, but its been long enough since I beat it that it doesn't feel like a waste of money.
I have to say its strange not playing a survival horror right now, especially being closer to Halloweenbut I guess the change of pace is okay for now. Just wait 'till I get my 360, Dead Rising will kick major ass, and I will have my fix of zombies for another month.
Watching TV is bad for you, and here's why. I hear Star Wars music playing, and Boba Fett is on the screen, only he's the size of the Falcon, and he is actually a giant Mech. But wait! Han says "watch this!" and suddenly the Falcon splits in two and is transformed into a mech too. Uh. What the hell kinda toy is that? Blending two cool things doesn't make a cooler thing. Duh.
