I went digging through my stoarage unit yesterday in search of a specific book but instead ended up finding my old Elastica Cd. Wow, I had forgotten how much I love that band. I had a great time driving home with the windows down cranking long lost music.

A friend of mine read me a few chapters out of The Little Prince earlier this evening. My goodness I feel like I've been missing out on something. What an incredibly cute and wonderful book! I think I'm going to have to buy myself a copy now.

It is now 8am and I am just finishing the homework I started at 6pm the night before. My goodness I am so tired my eyes are having problems focusing.

Screw the review, I think I am just going to turn in my homework come home and go to sleep.

I have a very close friend who is diabetic so his fridge was always stocked with diet cola. It really didn't take me very long to develope an addiction for the taste and ever since then I almost can't enjoy a meal without it. It's really a mixed blessing at times.

Myself, I am a black and white kinda guy. But I know what you mean about not having a dark room and the smells that go with it. I personally LOVE the smell of fixer too. It's weird TMAX fixer has just a bit of a sweeter smell. And that's why I love using TMAX better than regular process films.

UGH... Now is when I walk to the basement and just HOPE I can find a small darkroom space... ugh..

The smart thing to do right now would be to stay home and spend some much needed time updateing my website. The fun thing to do would be to go out have a drink and watch a movie.

It was the Patti Smith work that turned me on the Mapplethorpe way back when. Partly because I just love her as a musician and partly because the pictures have such and intimacy to them. I really hope someday I can capture someone like that.

In some ways its like that with Ashes and I. More so back when we were dating and less so now that we are just friends. It's still there to some extent though.

I went to the bookstore today and bought a collection of Robbert Mapplethrope photographs. Now I'm feeling incredibly inspired which is good considering I've been feeling a bit low for the past two weeks.

Now if only I can turn that inspiration into motivation to do my school work I'd be all set and ready to go!

I just learned that the 25th Hour is being made into a movie. As if that wasn't exciting I also learned that it is going to have Edward Norton (yum!) as the lead. I really hope they do the material justice. There is nothing worse then having one of your favorite books turned into a bad movie.

Wow, I just saw two really great movies in a row and I feel so inspired its incredible!

First I saw Frida. By default it was of course a wonderful story but some of the camera techniques in the film where just spectacular. The emotional impact I felt immediately after the trolly accident was just unreal.
