I have all these internet friends, people I talk to and whatever, from various fora. I rarely get to meet these people, and I'm always a little nervous at the prospect. Need to be very comfortable with them at a virtual level before I want to, say, shake their hands. Assuming they have hands.

So last night I met one of the people I'm most comfortable with, at the vr level. He was in town on business, so I left work early and trained downtown for dinner and beer. Gladly, he's a well adjusted, perfectly normal, interesting to talk to person. And he has hands. So I was happy about that.
