Happy valentines day, etc and whatnot. Today I bring you the first installment of a little story, about love and loss and maybe revenge. Enjoyez vous.
Page One:
Jenna's car crumpled like a tin can. She sprayed across the front dash, the car an origami of plastic and blood. Thomas stood on the brakes, slamming into the restraints. The car slid to the left, off the wet road and into the barrier. His hands fumbled numbly with the seat controls, with the door. He stumbled out of the car, the rain beating down across his face as he crossed the pavement to the ruin of her car. Someone was yelling at him, there were lights flashing, and distantly more tires were squealing, glass was breaking. He bent over and peered into what was left of Jenna's car, met the catastrophe of her head, her blood, the bones sparkling white in the diamond studded glitter of shattered windshield. He leaned against the car and started throwing up.
