I am so stoked - first Marathon this Sunday. Only 2 more sleeps. Should be a great weekend - going to the "big city"...haha. Hanging with the wifey - BarbiGirl, and a couple friends.
Been training like mad for this (50-90 km a week for 16 weeks), so hopefully it goes well. We'll see... the ultimate goal would be to quailify for the Boston Marathon, which would mean I would have to run 3 hrs10 mins, which is possible, but very very difficult at best. If everything goes perfect...then...well...knock on wood, right?
The realistic time goal would be somewhere around 3 hrs 20 mins, and I keep having to remind myself that this is a ridiculously fast time too..And one I should be proud of if I acheive it, instead of feeling like I failed if I don't make it to Boston. I think the only reason I look at 3:10 as a goal, is because of Boston, otherwise I would never have such crazy times in mind...
Anyway, wish me luck....
