Something happened today that rarely happens. I got one of our own new songs stuck in my head which got me pondering over my lyrics. I've been told my lyrics are very dark by a few people, but I try to look at them a different way. I write my best when there's bad things going on in my life, it's a coping mechanism. I actually get writers block when everything is going well and have a hard time writing "happy" lyrics. So while my lyrics might seem dark and gloomy to some, I look at them as holding out hope for a better future and dreaming of better days. Art is perception and to me I find more sadness and heartbreak in a lot of songs that on the surface seem "happy" than songs of doom and gloom. Just my thought of the day...

thats awsome, and my choreography can be dark sometimes but i know what you meen, i guess its a way of releasing thoose dark things and getting them out of your system

Yes! Most people don't understand what I mean. They just think I'm a negative and gloomy person when that's not the case.
