So I walked down Mission street today in search of the best Al Pastor taco. I had heard that Taqueria San Jose had a reputation.
The weather was great - about 72 degrees and lots of people were out. I love the energy in my neighborhood even though I saw heroin and fake id cards changing hands.
Found an amazing seafood shop that had Tiger Shrimp the size of a porno cock for 13 bucks a pound! Thai red snapper, catfish and 5 kinds of clams. Gotta head back there for sure.
Anyway, the tacos were good - but not as good as the ones I had in Mexico only a few weeks ago - that shit is burned into my brain. To be fair, it was about 3pm so the rotisserie had been churning for a good long time. Plus, I've been smoking again for a week so my taste buds have taken a licking.
I like food way too much.

Thanks for the journal bomb last night, you guys rule!! That's quite the grizzled old rasta you got there.
A couple of days back you posted in the favourite label thread that you worked for Murderecords, very cool, it's my favourite Canadian label. I was really into that whole music scene, Hardship Post were my fav's. Anyhow, it got me thinking about a band that I've been trying to find recordings of for a friend, and thought you may know how to go about tracking something down. They were called Blackpool and put out at least one disc called Scraps From The Table, and I know Chris Murphy was in the band at one point but don't know much else. I don't think they were ever on your label but they were a part of the early scene. If there is someone you know who might be willing/able to help me I would be very grateful.
UNSTOPPABLE 1:05!
