My younger brother, his friend Mike, and his friend Amanda were drinking a bottle of wine in the woods behind sprinker. They downed the bottle and headed back towards the car to split. They were surrounded by a group of 6 or 7 Mexicans.
"We're just passing by," my brother states. They proceed forward like it was going to be ok, but he knew shit was going to go down.
Sure enough, he looks back and Mike is getting socked. "Go get in the car, drive, and come back for us," he tells Amanda. She does what she is told and Sean gets in it to help out Mike.
One of the group's girlfriends bucks up like she means my brother harm. "I can't hit a girl!" he yells at her brandished claws. She goes for his face, but he redirects her to the side.
Next, her boyfriend comes after my brother. He throws a right cross, and my brother blocks it with his right, while connecting with a left to the guy's jaw. He turns his head left to confront the presence that he senses there, but he actually turns into an oncoming punch, and takes one right in the face.
That was all they needed, for in the moment that he was stunned, everybody jumped on top of him and kicked him for about a minute and a half. Then they left.

I don't like violence, but I can't help feeling like I wanted to be there. I can't stand it when one of my own get into an unfair situation.
They may not have been so cocky to roll up on a group of four. I intimidate people anyway.
But I'm also smart enough to realize shit happens the way it needs to for a reason. I can't afford to second-guess creation the way it comes together, but I can damn sure decide who I am in realtion to that, and carry on to carve out my own existance.
I'm going to watch how much I drink in public.
