i'm sitting here editing a manuscript about the bible -- long story, don't ask -- when i suddenly remember the dream i had last night.
i was on a beautiful white beach. there were people vacationing there. i went into the ocean. the water was a transparent blue where the sea floor was only a reach away, even though it lay sixty feet below. a large series of waves began to roll towards shore. they were 15 to 20 feet high, but they pushed into shore like wind through sails in an almost delicate flow. i waited in the water as they came in. as the first wave came upon me it lifted me up slowly along its smooth face. the body of the wave was almost paper thin, as if the water were actually vapor, and it slowly began to tumble over and i went with it, a slow motion drop back into the source. i broke through the surface and waited for another wave to take me.
then i was in a castle. but it was actually a club, or rather, several clubs within the castle. the layout of the castle was like a maze, it was a made of dark stone and there were actually torches lighting the place. i had the sense we were in england and we were excited about clubbing there. we were in a courtyard, where there were doors everywhere, and behind each door lay a different kind of music. we opened the door nearest to us, it was some sort of really hard tech-trance, and we were like, "none of this," and shut the door immediately. we looked some more but couldn't find anything that suited us.
then we're in the center of this town, there were trollies running down the brick streets and the feel of it was very european. we had to find our way back to where we were staying because we had to leave soon. then we're in this hilly wooded area, overgrown with dry grass and the sun beating down through the summer trees. there was a road near by that led up to our house, but we decided to walk through the woods. there were trails everywhere that seemed to criss-cross the land. i said i knew the way and we crunched through the undergrowth towards home.
if you haven't noticed, i remember my dreams in detail. i still remember numerous dreams from my childhood. i also dream a lot about water. i dreamt about a tsunami hitting san francisco a couple of days ago, but it wasn't necessarily a bad dream. it was just . . . interesting.

Dreams fucking baffle me, and I guess I'm glad of it. We all need mystery. How was Code Red? I finally posted pics of my jewelry/clothing creations if you want to take a look.
