so i'm leaving the crew i've been throwing parties with for the past 3 years. it's been building up to this for some time now, but i finally reached the point where i decided i needed some serious change.

but, i already have a new promoting partner and things are looking very good for the new year. also, one of my best friends moved back here from seattle, and we're going to be doing weekly studio sessions. i'm going to be spending a lot more time making music this year.

transitions are such interesting things. the body and mind sometimes resent entropy, instead seeking the confines of habit and repetition. but breaking through these cycles opens up new pathways for intention. in other words, pushing through the rough waters works out in the end, and makes me realize afterwards how important the journey really was.

audio elixir: Andrew Weatherall -- unknown mix. a friend burned this off the internet. it's like an updated version of mid-90's detroit acid house with some serious funky edges (think early 80's funk classic "freakazoid"). i mean how can you go wrong with a mix that starts of with a vocal saying "i need a freak, one who looks just like you"?
