finally healthy again. i was just researching my horoscope and it said that the lunar eclipse on the 9th was going to fuck me up healthwise a little bit and until the solar eclipse on the 23rd, and that's just what happened. i was never really into astrology until i was reading up on gravity waves. scientists have yet to discover them although they're probably one of the most powerful forces in the universe, i.e. the gravity of the sun keeping our solar system in order; massive black holes in the center of the milky way around which the galaxy flows. so it seems that we are constantly being affected by the rise and ebb of gravity waves. now whether people can actually interpret how this affects us is another story . . .
in ancient times though, people were more in tune with the cycles of the stars. the Egyptian, Mayans, Celtics, etc. had spiritual and cultural systems based on intricate knowledge of astronomy, and with proper awareness, one could imagine that they would recognize how the positioning of the planets affected their lives.
of course, nowadays, you can't even see the stars in most places due to all the light pollution. that's why Burning Man is so important, to ride out into the middle of the desert in darkness so you can lie down on the dust floor and stare endlessly into the galaxy and pray someone on a bike who's done just a few too many drugs AND lost their flashlight doesn't run you over.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow

I can't see the stars in Ohio either. The blackout this summer was nice.. it was so bizarre to be standing the middle of Cleveland and see hundreds of stars in the sky.. shooting stars too.
What's Burning Man?
