I'm not really much of a blogger... I tried doing it when I first came here but I'm not an everyday person. I don't have the time to devote to be able to keep up a day to day blog. I don't even do a weekly thing... I cannot guarantee I will update often but I do read a lot and if you want to strike up a thread of a topic, I'm game.
Ok, so now that I have your attention...
You will find that I talk about my two girls A LOT! That's because, beside my husband and job, they are my life! But how can you resist these two?
So then, an update!
We decided to celebrate our Easter on Saturday as I had the day off for another event (SCA turned into unsanctioned event) and it just so happened to have a large egg hunt being done in the area where I work. (Shopping area off a main river with a grass amphitheatre just across the river. This is where the hunt was.) So we get down there at 10:45am. As we just start to walk toward the massive crowd we see. But walking in our direction. Someone asks us if we are going to the egg hunt. "Yes." I said. "Well don't bother, it's over already." the lady told me. WTF? My sister-in-law and I had double checked the time, "kick off in center plaza at 10:30." How the fuck can it be over in 15 minutes? Well, apparently they had 600 people in center plaza by 10am. WOW! So needless to say, they don't know how to do line control... Well guess what?! I do! So I made sure to voice it to the director of marketing for the area. (It's pretty neat, I know people in places in the community! I'm getting to be recognized too!) So hopefully next year will be much more coordinated and I will have helped with that!
This is just the type of thing I enjoy doing, helping coordinate events. That's why I really am enjoying my job as I get to organize certain events happening there. Kinda like a party planner but more. (I do set up birthday parties and hostess them at work.) But I enjoy the little things of creating the advertising and doing other creative making either it be in the specific promotion or coming up with the specific promotion. So I am really happy with what I am doing right now. I have many opportunities that allow me to be creative and still be in an industry I've always enjoyed. I just get to use my brain more!
Right now I've been working on getting sponsors for our annual kids festival we host. I'm doing really good so far! I've already got a top level sponsor to commit and that was a little bit of a challenge and I got them! It looks like I might even get two more sponsors which is great! I have many potentials too and it'll be a lot of fun trying to accommodate all their logos. (A problem that is welcomed as it's hard to make something look good with nothing or very little! In years past there haven't been many sponsors so this is a great situation to be in.)
Besides the fact that Ariel is starting to pull herself up, not much has been going on.
Having some FANTASTIC sex with my hubby! A lot of women envy me, my husband still finds me attractive, just as he did when he first saw me. (But then again, I look only a little older--no evidence of pregnancy!) And all of you are gonna have to wait to see proof as I need to get new pictures of me.
