Alright, so last week my boss told me that I make things more difficult than they need to be and that statement has been rattling around in my head since.
Im really detail oriented. And I want to produce the best work possible. Sure there are days for slacking, and everyone makes some mistakes. But to turn out work that is continually flawed, and making the same mistake repeatedly, is unacceptable in my book.
As a result, Ive got a short fuse at work lately. I tell it like it is, and that clearly isnt popular.
Im so fed up with repeating myself over and over. Ive been here the longest out of the entire team, and have more experience in this business than most of them added together. None of these people have the dedication or the skill set to succeed here, and after 7 months of watching them flounder, Im completely worn out.
When I work with them on a project, I wind up having to do most of the work. We win the business, and they get the commission. Sure, I get a bonus if I help the team close a massive amount of business. This would happen if for every 1 project I helped them close, they closed 2 on their own. But no one can close anything on their own, and we have 4 sellers I have to help. This just means Im extra busy for absolutely no extra money.
Thursday I go on vacation and will be gone for 5 glorious days. Im not going to want it to end.
