another weekend goes byebye =(
friday dan and i ran 1.5 miles. good time too..but it sucks being short. =) after that we went out to mex..definitely one of my favorite spring/summer downtown spots.
saturday i went to pilates, then to dan's parents house to help plant their 2nd vineyard. yup, good backbreaking labor, but i'll get free wine for life.
that night went to the dryden to see john landis speak and screen his newest film, Slasher. it's a documentary that will air on IFC in June, rather than theaters.
i thought it was a great event, and a movie definitely worth seeing. i was pretty impressed by what he had to say, but now wish i knew about the twilight zone deaths/trial beforehand. don't think i would have had the guts for a question regarding it though.
sunday went to an event for gilda's club. mmmbrunch. it's so good to see cancer survivors, but it makes me sad to see that the majority of people there had recovered from a few specific kinds. a cruel reminder that there are types where there aren't a lot of survivors to celebrate. =(
after that, took a nap, then went grocery shopping while dan got movies. i made burritos with black beans and ground buffalo, and we watched 'american werewolf in london' and 'spellbound.'
nothing like a little variety. =) check out spellbound if you haven't already. ooh the drama of the national spelling bee!
aside from that, starting to realize that besides dan and two people that i work with, i don't really have any friends anymore.
since i'm not out at a bar three times a week, the party kids have forgotten about me. i liked to think we had more in common than that, but i guess not.
then there's the people who always say they'll call, but never do. and the ones who swear week after week that 'we'll hang out' but they always bail.
ah well. with the move i'm liquidating alot of stuff along with memories...guess i shoulda known friendships would go too.
