I mostly run with headphones too. somehow it seems to make it easier especially if the tunes are really good
Just don't try to run too fast, too soon. A good rule of thumb is - if you start to feel nauseous in any way, it's time to STOP.
I don't think I ever start to feel nauseous, it's just the breathing, especially right now. You're right about not running to fast too soon, I really need to pace myself more, but like I said I get bored at times.
