Lately, every attempt at going out has failed. I come home disappointed because I didn't have very much fun and I wasted money with my attempt at enjoying myself. Thursday, I didn't bother trying. I stayed home babysitting so my wife could go out with my brother's girlfriend. They were out with a couple of other people until about 3AM. I stayed up watching martial arts movies.

Saturday, I got a babysitter to watch my brother's girlfriend's daughter. After work, I met up with them at club. I didn't expect it to be very much fun, because the place is mostly 40+, but I met the bartender a few times and he's a cool guy so I figured I would just hang out and have a few drinks. I got there and another friend was there. I started off by having car bombs with the bartender and ordering some food. There was a band playing that I really enjoyed. They played a bunch of covers that I knew. I actually danced a little. With my normal joking gay antics, I think I made a cowboyish looking guy think that my friend was gay and so he started backing up on my friend on the dance floor, then followed him around some. I had more carbombs and shots with the bartender and a few shots with my wife and friends. I paid my $40 tab, then left the bar at about 4AM. We stopped for food on the way home. I imagine I got to bed around 5AMish and then woke up at about 8AM to get ready for work. I haven't done that in years, it was great.

Now, I'm really looking foward to Halloween. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, but we'll figure out something. I'm thinking about going to see Rage Against the Machine on Friday, but I don't know if I'll have enough money for that and Halloween.

We're carving pumpkins tonight.
