I used to have a phobia of spiders, then I moved to Sacramento and the place I lived had spiders everywhere,big ones. It's been a slow process, but over the past few years I've gotten over my phobia. I no long freeze, freak out, or sweat when I see a spider. When I find a spider in my apartment, I calmly scoop him up on something and put that something outside and get it later, when that something is spider free.

Ealier today, I noticed a large, scary spider in my apartment. I was busy, so I just ignored it, hoping it would go away. We were gone most of the day and I had forgotten about the spider. A little while ago, I was about to take a shower, when I saw him again. I figured that I should do something about him, since he is big, scary and brown. I scoop him up and he is fast, heading straight for my hand. I have him on an empty TP tube. I switch hands and move around, so he doesn't get to my hands. Then he hangs down from a web. I set him down and scoop him back up and very quickly open the window and toss the tube outside.

I freaked out. After, I turned the shower off, deciding that I'll wait on that. I needed to sit down and relax for a few minutes. Now, the spider is somewhere around my front door...
