I really just wanted to add:
Next Wednesday, I'll need help loading a uhaul. Anyone want to help?
Buy my furniture.
Chicks are nuts.
Come see Die Hard with us tomorrow night.
I was able to see my urologist one last time before we move. He let me know how my checkups should go for the next five or six years and I scheduled another appointment with him for next year. Unfortunately, I have to find another doctor in Louisiana.
I found an apartment. It's a three bedroom townhouse for $950/month with no deposit or pet deposit. We'll probably end up shampooing the carpets and doing a few other things there, but it's a lot cheaper than the deposits would have been. $950 is more than we were looking to pay, but my brother is going to move in with us for a short while and cover part of the rent. Hopefully that all works out well. He just moved back to Louisiana from Alabama and has been looking for a place. He's how I found out about the townhouse.
Today, I've brought my wife to work, went to the doctor, cleaned out the car some, got an oil change, ate a burrito from Alberto's, and bought some peppers. I don't know if the burrito was a good idea. The past couple of days I've mostly just been eating a Grande Meal from Taco Bell. I'll probably have the last burrito for lunch tomorrow. I'm going to use the peppers that I bought for a salad and probably for some fried rice. There is only one store that I know of that sells the right peppers, I think they're red chili peppers... they're definitely red.
Tonight, we're going with GnG to an event for me and urblueygrl, that d_day planned as an SGIE event. Unfortunately, I didn't realize until after I told him that tonight was a good night for this that SGLA is having dinner, I think, in Long Beach. That sucks. I'm pretty sure that there are no more SGLA events for me until I come visit. Tomorrow though, is Live Free or Die Hard. Me and my wifey are going to see it, if anyone wants to meet up for the movie, let me know. No plans for Thursday yet, but then it looks like we're mostly busy until we leave.
Something cool:
We live all the way to the back of the apartments. So we have to pass all of the garages on the way to our apartment. Near the end of the garages, there's a garage that's almost always open, during reasonable times. In there it kind of reminds me of a barber shop full of, mostly, old black guys, that you would see in a movie. No, they don't cut hair. There is a TV, fridge, couch, chairs, coffee table... everything they need. None of them live in there. Infact, none of them live together. They just go there to hang out most days. A lot of the time, they are watching sports. Everybody around here knows them. It's interesting and it's one of my favorite things about these apartments.
I brought a list of things that we're selling to them. One of them said he wanted our desk and our entertainment center. I gave him $10 off, since he's getting both and I'm pretty sure he's providing transportation for the stuff. I told him I'd help move it.
