I figure getting a new kitten is a big enough life event to share. Last summer my cat (Nutmeg) of 14 years passed away... I knew I wanted a new cat in my life, but it would take time. In January I started by cat sitting for friends and then fostered a few cats.

I wasn't looking for a kitten, but when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped. I named her Cassiopeia, because I am a nerd.

I have never had a kitten before. Turns out they are cute for a reason....

She really likes to sleep on my shoulder. This may be an issues as she gets bigger...
