Well, well, well, what do we have here? Seems that I have been a busy girl the last few weeks, so lets start where I left off:
It was me and hubby's first wedding anniversary almost two weeks ago, so we went to dinner at the floating restaurant, Moshulu where we had held our wedding reception, exactly one year ago.
We brought the top tier of our wedding cake, fed each other lovely little bites, drank an AMAZING bottle of vino that I had been saving for just the right occasion finishing our romantic evening at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Philadelphia in a decked-out suite on the club floor.
From there we headed off to Atlantic City for some MUCH needed R&R. We stayed in the Havana Tower of the Tropicana. Swanky.
Hightlights include:
Meeting JJ Walker, which was Dyn-O-mite! (I grew up on "black " sitcoms since we didn't have cable.) For me, meeting JJ was like meeting a mega huge celeb.
I won a tiny bit of money, just enough to buy this wonderful decadent sunscreen.
We had THE BEST AND MOST FABULOUS table and meal at Red Square. This has been one of my favorite restaurant experiences in a LONG time. I would put it up there next to gone but not forgotten, Angelina.
We also did a tour of Longwood Gardens and few wineries to round out or nice little 2nd Honeymoon.
This past Monday, I got to take care of my man. He had his bone impacted wisdom teeth removed. All I got to say is weve got a bleeder folks. But seriously - it was fun to dote on him, wife style. I made him three different soups, and rediscovered my love of brown gravy. The secret to good gravy is brown and water, who knew!?
When I finally returned to work, I came back to find I had been switched into the department of my dreams. I finally get to work in special measurement clothing! I make clothes patterns for unusual bodies - the tiny and tall, corpulent or anorexic, amputees, or sadly the blown apart John Does.
Saving the best for last people. My husband and I bought our first home. Settlement on November 14th! I am a very happy girl. More on that in my next update.
With all the fun things on the horizon - Halloween, moving to a new house, Thanksgiving, my birthday and then LOADS of holiday festivities, I hope I will be able to keep up with updates.

Sorry, reading other people's posts.
I'm game for meeting up with Aponia or whoever! Something to get me out of the house! The cocktails at Jonesare pretty fancy and fun. The dessert nachos are killer as well.
Good call on the Peanut Chews...however...the best are the ones from the old days when they were all natural. Every now and then I find one in the old wrapper hiding in my pantry/room/closet/couch.
Oh, btw. nice to meet you.
