Well, I'm finally back. I feel like I spent the last two days sleeping. We just finished shooting Essence, and now that we have all the footage I calculate that the film is about 5 percent complete.
There was a lot of greenscreen work, owing to the stylization the story progresses into. The cast was great, the crew was excellent. We didn't get a lot of cooperation from the civilians when we were on location, but that is to be expected.
Our still photographer for the shoot was the talented and tasteful LizardAM, whose work will constitute the bulk of our publicity package. And I met her right here on SuicideGirls.
Here is a still from the movie. It is not color-corrected yet, and a significant prop needs to be digitally added, but the entire shot was greenscreened so the walls could be dropped out and replaced with black, since Mrs. Benning's house needs to appear as if it is floating in space. (Mrs. Benning is seated in the lower left-hand corner.)

And yes sugar....I am a tad goofy. It is okay. I have accepted it as part of my charm.
