Past Mortem - Ben Elton. Read it. I've spent the whole day reading it instead of taking a needed nap (tsk) It's a pretty addictive read, probably the best Ben Elton book i've read.
In other news, I have been up in Herts for the weekend. A lovely long weekend due to the bank holiday (thank gawd for bank holidays). I have spent the weekend indulging my guilty longings for junk food and copious amounts of white wine.
I got a little upset over the weekend. I was meant to be seeing my best (?) friend at uni, only after we'd made the plans.. she didn't seem too keen. It's hard for me to understand how she can move on without me, we were joined at the hip and now we go weeks without speaking to each other. Isn't it strange how things can change so quickly? I'm not sure if I miss it, or i'm just jealous that she's moved on, and i'm still stuck in the same town with the same people, doing the same things. Maybe stuck is the wrong word to use, don't get me wrong. I love these people. I think I have a fear of change, the thought that some things can never be the same again terrifies me. But then, doesn't change scare everyone to an extent?
I might be scared of change but I know that to make things any better than they are at the moment, things DO need to change.
Anyway, enough of the analytical crap *belches* READ THE DARN BEN ELTON BOOK!
