hypothetical situation:
let's say the first lady gets pregnant...the nation knows she's pregnant...
...and then she decided to terminate the pregancy?
How do you think the nation would react?
to include all the people who are pro-abortion etc?

And my reaction to this whole scenario (kicking in the husband)is just simply: the public arena is already too much of a damn circus already. We need leaders who will suck it up, be circumspect, serve the public while in office, and get weird on their own time. That includes anything from a sudden emergence from the closet to finding Jesus one morning at three AM (and feeling the need to share). If you're an elected official- let your voting record speak. We want to know what you will do as our representative- not on your own time. If you can't stick to the platform on which you ran because you've seen the light in one shade or another- step down.
And I can't see where either of these two things would negate the platform on which Obama ran- like that platform, or not. [Now if Obama suddenly decided that we needed to make Iraq the 51st state...
They (all) need to realize it isn't about them.
I love how you said it: Be weird on your own time. It makes me think of celebrities' drama filled lives, the papparazi....the media in general.
