Hello Kindred Spirits!
It seems October has come and gone so fast that I nearly missed it. Fall is my favorite season- though I do get excited about every season. But this year I seem to have a whole new, positive outlook on life which makes every little thing about the changing seasons and each day just a little bit more special.
Halloween wasn't anything too special this year. My lady had to work the night of, but that didn't stop us from celebrating throughout the week. Like many people, Halloween is our favorite holiday!
We carved pumpkins a few days before Halloween. L. made a Day of the Dead sugar skull pumpkin and I made an owl.
We attended a bonfire with some fellow hippies, but I didn't get any pictures other than this one:
Not the cutest but we were drunk and tired....
And we went to all of the local costume shops in search of cool masks. This was my favorite:
Suits me, huh?
Earlier in the month, we went hiking at Kennesaw Mountain. It is gorgeous right now and we had a blast...until I got blisters and we got lost..
Then it was time to vote!
Now it is almost time for this:
Other happenings include:
New sweaters! Yay!
A Double-Plantain!!!
And finding this guy on the sidewalk in front of my best friend's job...then burying him.
still, there is something oddly beautiful about this picture.
The rest of this year seems pretty promising as well! So many plans including a vegetarian festival, my one year anniversary with my lady, new jobs, the holidays, and us getting our own place! I'm forgetting plenty of stuff as a lot of it is tentative and we plan on the go, but yay! Things seem to be looking up over here is this shitty town. It's giving us the motivation (and resources) we need to move and with the way things are going lately, we might just be able to move to a state that will be accepting and let us get married within the next year or so!
Life is good right now.
hugs!
