Like many others, I have been evaluating the value of this site for myself, the "pay-off," sorta' speak. THe monetary cost is very little, but the time and preoccupation is increasing.
I noticed this when I considered selling off my Libertines tickets for Monday because godforbid I miss Snow at The Scene on Monday. Hold-up, this girl is nearly make believe, really. I have awesome plans, and guess what, I made those first. eeek
I am continuing to meet great people throught this site, and plan to stay active. But I do need to moniter my use, take a little break from my investment here. Yes, part of the appeal is how "high school " it is, and drama drama drama. Yet what I forgot, is how much that shit sort of leaves me empty, especially as a bystander.
So, rather than checking the site a million times a day, I'll check it when I check my email. In the morning, and at night. I will continue to learn about cool events and no doubt I will be introduced to many more like minded individuals, but I must moniter the costs to myself. Reality versus REALITY.
Goddamn I have such an addictive personality. oink

You know, if you get close to people on the site and they et into your personal life, you can no longer use this journal as a real journal and you have to start writting about nonsense crap...I know this from experience.

I could never control my SG addiction untill my cousins came over and I had to take them out places, and even then they were like "you're on the computer AGAIN?!"

I don't even remember Man and Machine what was that about?
