Well I just saw War of the Worlds, its Friday and I had to come back into work to help fix a bug in a game Im working on so we can get a final build out to a publisher. Friday night. Yessir. Fun time Seattle.
WotW (note - I'm not talking WoW) was pretty good. It was more like the 50s film than I thought it would be and pretty effective. Even though I think Tom Cruise is probably an arrogant kind of creepy asshole, I didnt really spend so much time being bugged by this. The little girl who played his daughter was pretty good and more the emotional center of the picture. Lots of good set pieces and creepiness. No yahoos in biplanes or computer viruses thank god. Nature's own does well enough and much more believable - but maybe not. You'd think martian science woulda learned something about immunities in all these years but hey, the novel was written in the last century. Whaddya want for nothing?
Pretty much nothing planned for the 4th, though I'm hoping for at least one ferry ride and BBQ. You know who you are. I should also call someone else about a museum thing. You also know who you are.
I'm craving some chemical mischief as well. Youd think I would have grown out of this by now, but I guess some things for some people never change. Besides, I've been pretty well behaved the last year or so.
Oh, and I have press this week!!!
