After a few months of movies that feature mind numbing spectacle and gratuitous special effects, its great to go see a movie and wallow in the curls of smoke playing in the air, the random twitches dancing across an actors face, and the way that silence plays in a conversation. I need to see movies like Coffee and Cigarettes more often. Fuck you Vin Diesel, I'll take Steve Coogan and Alfred Molina any day.
