Hi everybody. I just got a new snake 2 days ago. This will be my 4th. I don't know about this one though. It's a fully grown Mexican Kingsnake. I took him out of his cage last night and he was not very happy. I know snake behavior after owning 3 of them so I knew something was wrong. He hissed, coiled and struck at me. Luckily, I saw it coming at the last second and was able to extend my arm. Whew!! Close one. Had I not moved, he would have gotten my neck or cheek.
Some people just get the snake and put it the cage and never bother with it. I'm one who is always taking them out and spending time with them.
My other 3 snakes are the sweetest things. You could pick them up by their faces and they wouldn't bite. That's because I rasied them since they were babies.
So what should I do? I know if I take the snake back they will trade hime for something else. I've done it once before. I feel weird doing this for some reason.
