CAVLDRON NI9E <> I'LL TAKE THE RIVER DOWN TO STILL WATER AND RIDE A PACK OF DOGS.
I have a neighbor across the street with lights always on. I never knew who it was until a week ago when I happened to meet her when our water was out. (Again, due to CalTrans demolishing the roadways of 33rd St.) She's a charming older woman with a gorgeous dog and two cats. I haven't met the cats, but I ran into her tonight as she was walking her dog, Lucy.
Lucy is a beautiful black shepherd-looking beast with a definite allegiance to her owner, and a protective herding instinct toward their two cats. Meeting a new dog always makes me question whether I'm more inclined toward the so-called lower animals or their owners, and tonight was no different. I do feel a definite kinship toward Lucy's keeper though, and it was a good end to a great evening.
Sometimes people make me question what I really value in life. Other kinds of animals never make me question anything.
This is a song by Chris Cornell. This is a Soundgarden song. It's not a Johnny Cash song, and it never will be.
