[ Now playing in Demon Tribe Hollow... The Show Must Go On by Drop Dead, Gorgeous from In Vogue ]
[ Also playing in Demon Tribe Hollow... Diabla (Heavenly Mix) by Funk DVoid from Diabla ]
[ Further playing in Demon Tribe Hollow... The Little Blue Man by Betty Johnson from Greatest Hits, Volume I ]
[ And always playing in Demon Tribe Hollow... Baby, Im Drunk by The Reverend Horton Heat from Holy Roller ]
I think Im getting fat, but Im probably still not technically overweight. I just havent been working out for the past half a year since I moved into the house because Ive been so damned busy getting settled. My little HDMI adaptor is coming in the mail though, so it wont be too much longer until Ill be set to Wii Fit my way into reduced corpulence.
I met another one of my neighbors tonight - an older gal who lives in a well-decorated home almost directly across the street. She has a dog named Lucy, and she said shes walked her right past my place without me having noticed, despite the fact that I was right outside. This is undoubtedly because I had on headphones with my sonic holocaust blasting, which Im almost never without.
It made me a little sad talking to her though, because I could tell she lived alone and didnt really have anyone else (except Lucy) to keep her company. She didnt seem sad, at all, but I was just thinking how I believe its particularly hard for women to grow older. Gals are sort of expected to wear makeup and be sweetly alluring so much of the time, and society is very unforgiving when that youthful comeliness starts to fade.
But of course it happens to all of us. Death is the one thing in life that we all have to face; perhaps thats why it fascinates me so. You dont have to do anything else in your lifetime truly, you dont except at some point to pass on to that expansive sea of ultimate mystery.
