A year ago yesterday I went to go see cEVIN Key DJ at Zanzibar in Santa Monica. It was a great experience, thanks primarily to some brief conversations I had with cEVIN and plenty of Don Julio. There are some photos floating around here, too, which I have to find once I get the time. Gotta start a pic-a-day kind of thing here because, well, you know what they say about pictures. (They say theyre potentially career-ending, if youre me.)
Also, I was just introduced to "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" last night via Netflix. The Swedish film from '09, not the American remake from the end of last year. Great storytelling! Though at its heart, it's a moderately formulaic murder-mystery, the more challenging subject is, of course, Lisbeth Salander. I know I probably need to read Larsson's book at some point, but I know I'll never likely find the time. Hence, for further immersion, I'll have to rely on Fincher's adaptation, at least for now.
