For only getting about 4 hours of sleep last night... I've been surprisingly productive so far. Very unusual for this early in the day for me. But then again, I have been feeling crappy so maybe I'm just getting better. Let's hope so!
Went to the doctor this morning and got my stitches taken out. For those of you who know that story, the scar is pretty gnarly. Rather than having it corrected
or trying to cover it... considering the circumstances of the injury... I'm thinking about getting a "Survivor" tattoo and the date around it as a reminder. All that aside, healing is going well.
New strides in my medical treatment. We found a migrain clinic about 4 hours from home that's going to accept me into some of their studies. Also, looking into a Neurologist at Ohio State who developed an external, noninvasive device that basically detects the onset of migrains and sends safe magnetic waves through the brain lasting about one milisecond. This interrupts the neural activity and stops the migrain caused by vascular constriction and auras (which mine are) by disrupting the electric impluses that would typically lead to a migraine.
I'm running out of options. They sound risky. But if you haven't lived with headaches every day for years then you don't have room to judge my risk-taking when it comes to clinical trials of neuro shit. I'm pre-med for a reason. I refuse to let this condition ruin my life damnit!
I'm rambling, any migrain sufferers out there who stumble across this feel free to send me any suggestions. I'm open to anything. Believe me, it's surprising some of the things that actually work...
