Yes, only 9 days to start my vacations! Three complete weeks in which i will be travelling through Peru after doing a little stop in Cartagena to attend to a concert.
That means two things: This week at work is going to be horrible. I have a lot of work to do, and even if i don’t finish it, i have to prepare my collegues to continue with it. It doubles the work, sometimes, doing it and documenting it as well.
The other thing is that i must end all the food in the fridge.. That ends with me eating strange combinations of foods: A little piece of lasagna with two pieces of breaded hake and some carrot salad, for example. It’s kind of survivalist.
BUT, it will end and soon i will be travelling! Lima – Paracas – Arequipa – Puno - Cusco and Iquitos. Unlike it seems for the complete route, i like to travel with no hurries, enjoying the stay in each place by doing things no so touristics (like going to the supermarket, for example).
I carry with me always a little notebook where i write a kind of journal. Not a real diary, but usually i write there the name of the foods i've ate some cultural curiosites (i like anthropology and etnology) and the name of books, writers, poets or historic events people shows me. Then, i can learn a lot once i am at home again.
Also, having the complete journey written helps me not to forget about things. I can always return to the notebook and it will help me to remember the travel.
An example of my easy-to-read notebook.
I am not a good photographer, i haven’t the patience nor the skills, but for sure i will try to add some pictures (mainly food-related, i know myselt too well, hehe).
And of course i will always have the time for my daily dose of beauty from you, girls. You make my days a little more .. spicy, hehe
But, still 9 days to go!
