My first set in 10 years has hit member review! I'm so excited to be back after all this time. Check out Rose City today and let me know what you think!
I shot this in the same hotel as my last set of the day shot by the awesome @fractal in 2009.
I hope you are all having a great summer! Things have been very busy for me lately with traveling and photoshoots. I go to Vegas regularly so there was a trip back this month. I found an amazing hotel for shoots and can't wait to go back and shoot more there!
I got a chance to self shoot a set as well.
In between work and travel I've been hitting up Renaissance Faires and crafting costume items. Here's a picture my sister snapped of me at the latest faire:
My favorite festival, Faerieworlds is coming up soon so I'll be there as well. Not sure what I'm going to wear yet, but I'll think of or make something I'm sure.
Some more recent hike/ travel /shoot fun:
I really need to take more candid photos when I travel, lol!
I'm working to rework my home studio too and open up for more bookings as a photographer so I'm excited about that too. I do things as polished as possible though so I like to have things very organized and "ready to go" as far as set design, backdrops, lights, costuming, wardrobe and dressing area. The nice thing about owning my home is that I can build sets and install rigs for backdrops and lighting, which is one of the reasons I feel comfortable charging for my home shooting experiences. I very much believe a shoot should be an enjoyable experience AND you should end up with great photos.
What's something positive about your life lately? Even if you just had a really good sandwich I want to hear about it in the comments! Actually especially if you had a good sandwich....describe it to me....slowly....in detail. Sandwiches are delicious. Thanks for reading!
