Oregon renaissance festival season starts up this Saturday! I love going to faires and festivals, especially ones where people are encouraged to dress up. I feel like a lot of faire goers leave their "real life" stresses and aggression outside and become of the best part of themselves. I've seen people treat strangers like family, there's an overall sense of joy in the air. I even went to EDC for the first time recently and was blown away by kids taking care of other kids who had partied too hard. I may have choked up when I saw a young woman give away her sparkly designer jacket to a stranger slumped over from drinking too much. People just care more in general when in this sort of escapist, celebratory mood. It's nice.

I also adopted a dog! Her name is Luna and she's a two year old rescue from California. I love her so much.
