What is the world coming to? Why do people think that the random killing of innocent people will solve anything? I just don't get it. There are plenty of "ideals" and beliefs that I certainly do not agree with, but it would never occur to me that killing random people who may or may not disagree with me would be a good thing. Sure, it makes a big statement, but it makes the look like big jackasses to say the least.
The boyfriend and I are going to have date night once a week. Even before he moved in, we spent a ton of time together, but it is too easy to not have quality time together. And we have been so busy lately. His old roomie is going to Japan for a year to teach English, so we've been spending lots of time with him. And other random friends have come to town, leaving us little time for each other. On the few nights that we have been at home, we're doing chores or our own thing... it's no fun. I love my boy and want to be able to enjoy him and lately I don't think 've been able to.
We saw Dinosaur Jr. last night. It was tres cool. Some of his friends came down from Gainesville and we ate Indian food. If ever you are in Orlando and think to try a restaurant called Dakshin, don't. I have never had Indian food I didn't like. But the waiter was like a used car salesman.... absolutely appalled when they ordered only water and I only ordered a tea. He seriously tried to pressure us into getting an appetizer... not the suggesive selling that we are all used to by now, but "Are you sure you don't want something else? The food is going to take a long time." Once the food arrived, I realized my food was nothing more than some frozen or canned Veg-All with some piss poor spices. I kid you not. We're all vegetarian and the 3 of us who ordered some dish with "mixed vegetables" got the same thing... corn, peas, carrot squares, lima beans and a piece or two of cauliflower. If was probably the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, although we certainly had fun at the expense of the waiter and the restaurant itself. Never believe the good review you might read.
Then we ran into Andrew's most recent ex-roomie. It's weird.... being so used to seeing him most every other day and when I saw him last night, I realized I hadn't seen him in over a month. Then again, he's been as busy as we have.
Weekend plans? Anyone? We've watching "Spirited Away" tonight, going to a friend's tomorrow and my niece's 1st birthday party on Sunday. Somewhere in the middle of all that, I hope to get some stuff arranged. The chaos and lack of space around here is driving me batty!
Happy Friday and happy weekend!
