Mew! I love my boy. Check out the awesome bike he made me!
This is a belated X-mas/b-day present. It's been an ongoing joke because he kept referring to it as "Homer's bowling ball." For those who aren't familiar, that's from a Simpsons episode when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday or something and it just happened to fit him perfectly!
At first, I thought he was going to try to steal it from me. Not so much now. He's got a super nice bike and has another vintage frame en route for him, so I think my bike is safe Anyways, I'm happy about it. For anyone who cares, it's a fixed gear which means the pedals keep going round and round.... no coasting on this sucker. Ought to be good exercise wise although I'm still a little nervous about getting leg fatigue quickly.
So, I posted this in the "Crafty Group" but what the hell. If anyone makes or likes to make homemade cards, consider making them for Keiki Cards. The short version.... people make cards and send them to Keiki Cards and they send them out to kids (wee ones to teens) who have life threatening illnesses. I know I love geting cards (always have) so I imagine these kids do as well! Plus I'm a bleeding heart and have a super soft spot in my heart for kids.Make a card or pass the info on. Thanks
So, most every Wednesday we go to a local divey bar and play trivia. We stink most of them time. Or a least others are just so much better than we are. Anyways, we came in 3rd last night! Yay! Only won a $15 bar tab, but that's better than nothing! And it's nice doing well since we normally suck!
Anyways, that's about it. I have some tests coming up that I should be studying for, but I think I do better when I cram because my short term memory is decent. I also have some papers due soon. One is for extra credit so I don't have to do it but it can add up to 5 points on my final grade. How can I pass that up when I'm not feeling super confident about the class in the first place?
Happy Thursday!
Kisses
PS If anyone has any fab ideas for an Oceanography paper over the next couple of days, let me know. It has to be about something in the oceans that is sustainable. And the paper has to be 10 pages long.

Well, that's quite a bike. It's a great way to see the city while your burn off excess weight. If your worried about your legs getting tired, you should start off slowly & work up. Congratulations on the $15 bar tab prize.
You should by all means come & visit the City of roses. this some you'll feel right at home as it should be really hot. Our winter was lame which makes for a baking summer. I don't know if I could hack Florida?
i choose hemo because it's an interesting field that has a lot of growth. I'd like to work into either an occupational assistant or a lab assistant working on cures for dieases. That's true your dad is lucky there are some really bad blood disorders out there.
So either you'd like to teach or work in a library? Teaching would be really rewarding I would think. A librarian would be interesting too. Do you enjoy reading? I wish you luck on your paper in oceanography. Interesting broad topic, I'm sure you'll narrow it down to something fun.
Anything fun this weekend, I just returned today from the Oregon Coast so I think I'll sleep this weekend & get some new cd's. How about you?Did you know that your in my dating pool on the site? If you go into your matches you'll find me, funny. Have a good day. If it would be ok I'm going to put you on my friends list.
Hope you've had a fun weekend. The weather here has been sunny & high 60's, how about you? I enjoy hearing from you as your refreshing.
Paved trails are really nice to bike on as long as there aren't too many people & dogs on the paths. You shouldn't feel too guilty you should walk her before you bike.
I know what you mean about wanting to live somewhere you've never been. I was a half hour outside of London & felt there wasn't enough time to enjoy it so I passed up visiting.I know if I ever were to visit I'd want to live there forever. So instead I try to keep a distance until I'm ready. We had a tad bit of humidity last summer. I think you'd really enjoy it here.
It apperars that I've a propensity towards English as well. I'd love to be a rock journalist but, helping to save lives seems more rewarding. Science to me will be a strech but, I'll learn to love it.
By the way where is it that teachers are valued? All school systems are pretty under funded these days. Librarian would be fun but, you don't sound 100% about it.
Famer's Market is the best, I love it there too. There is actually a lot of fun things to do here that don't cost a penny. Downtown is full of fun things.
Hum, suggestions on music. Well,
it depends right now the new ones are the Doves, Tori Amos & 50 cent. It really depends on what you normally enjoy. What have you been listening to recently? I'm picking up 11 cd's soon. There from Beatles 4 disc remaster, remaster The Wall, Coil, Ween live, Megadeath best of and more I can't remember. I'm the type of guy who enjoy's a vast catalog to choose from.
I'd rather keep my friends list small for it's easier to control. I try to contact each one on every entry. Some are harder then others.
I like it when you get chatty. Hope your well & look forward to hearing from you soon.
