Getting Nervous

So I saw some blog homework asking what SG has changed about your life and it really got me thinking. I’ve never done this before and this is one topic I can really relate to. I’m a lot more comfortable in my skin and doing nude photos now, but I think that’s given with almost anyone who is on here. It’s really changed the way I see those things, I’m not worried it’s going to get out into the world and someone will accidentally find it, I’m showcasing it, I’m proud of it now where I never was before. I’m not nervous that someone will find it and give me shit for it, I’m nervous still that people won’t enjoy what I have but this is such an accepting community of amazing people that it’s okay if I’m not everyone’s thing, I will definitely be someone’s thing. I’m nervous, but excited, for my first set ever to come out in a week, but I trust that it’s going to be amazing! So far my experience with SG has been amazing and it’s changed me for the better. Best decision I ever made.

Welcome! Looking forward to your first set. I don't think you have anything to be worried about, I have a feeling it'll look amazing. Kudos to you for being able to shed some of your geneal insecurities, though! That's something many of us have struggled with, and still struggle with. I've lost some insecurities myself along the way, but still have some other stuff that needs work, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for individuals, such as yourself, who manage to just take a step forward and say "this is me, world, this is who I am; take it or leave it." You're on the right path if you ask me.

Your first set IS amazing! I'm glad you are of this mindset now.  I can certainly understand how putting yourself out there like this takes courage and bravery, and I think you're absolutely right--you're sharing your self, your art with the world, and that seems like it can be a bit scary, and maybe you're right, maybe you won't necessarily be absolutely everyone's cup of tea, but (imho) I think you can count on being at least several someone's thing. Such a great, positive place to be. Awesome set! I hope you have the opportunity to have fun and create more. Way to go!!
