September 16, 2014. Today makes one year for me being clean from heroin, my drug of choice.

I am proud of myself. I made it one year without touching it when a year ago I could not have imagined living a day without it.

I am able to accept that I will always be an addict. But I am in recovery. And I am okay with that.
