I can't explain how in love with my dog I was, he was the only constant in my life for a long time, he was there with me through high school emotions, military drama, college, and Israel..... I was to return home in a week to see his pretty little face after 5 1/2 months away. He was supposed to greet me at the door when I came home and move to Boston with me in November....but he died tuesday. We dont know, he was just laying there dead when my father found him, a few feet of slack on the rope.
That first day was the most painful day I have ever felt, I didnt know what the next step was without his orange little face by my feet everyday. Its gotten a little easier to cope, but I miss him more then anything.
When I got him as a puppy:

The tattoo I got (his muddy paw print) about a year ago, with a touch of digital effects to make it look like it was freshly stamped on by his hairy little paw just seconds ago:
