i went back to work today after having a week off and learned i was totally screwed while i was away. after doing so many shitty 24 hr duty shifts and whatnot a good tasking finally came up. it was to go to victoria for a week and talk to people about our experiences and lessons learned in afghanistan. i'm from the island and i haven't been back in a while. i would have loved to go and see my friends and family that i haven't seen in so long. anyway my sarge who is petty put up another guys name because he knew i would want to go and his reason for it was because i was on leave. well sarge and the other guy took the week before me and i went a went later to pick up the slack and do some shit jobs around the unit while they were gone. on the bright side3 he pissed me off just enough to motivate me to finish all my paper work with veteran affairs so i guess thats a plus.

enough negative though, the puppy is great. he's a real character. he has a little chipmunk that he takes with him everywhere, it's quite funny. also i've been reading some stories out of grimm's grimmest. if you haven't heard of them it's the original grimm brothers fairytales before they were tamed. this is an example: there was a little girl who backtalked her mother. her mother warned her that bad things happen to little girls with smart mouthes. then the girl fell ill and died. but she refused to stay buried and stuck her hand out of the grave, and that is how she stayed. it's some pretty wierd stuff, but so far the gist of it is someone does something bad and meets a horrible death. i cna't believe this is what they used to tell their children.
