ah dreams why are you so weird? woke up crying from a traumatizing dream this morning. still getting over it.
we have pet rats! they are soooo awesome. a little crazy sometimes but they are still babies so i guess they will mellow out. ( i hope)

A rat as a pet ... my best friend Luke had a pet rat as a child, the thing ended up about a foot and a half long, and it was a docile creature, lots of fun. Hope you enjoy yours!

we had a rat here for a while. He died of cancer though 
it was very sad. Congrats on your new little ones. Contrary to what most people expect, rats are really cute. It's not like they're the slimy sewer-variety or anything.
