Hello everyone!
Recently I read the book "The Touch" from Daniel Keyes. And now I want to share my thoughts on this book :)
The book talks about a family (Barney and Karen Stark) who wanted to have a child, but everything changed after they received a dose of radioactive dust due to an accident. They became outcasts in their city, in the families of their relatives and neighbors. And the worst thing is that right now Karen was able to get pregnant. Barney realizes that the radiation didn't leave them a chance. But Karen believes that her love for the unborn child will do a miracle.
I really liked this book. Keyes is one of my favorite authors. The book is shrouded in gloom and desperate situation. There are also many interesting characters, unexpected turns of events. History seems not so unusual, but something in it is intriguing. The topic is quite interesting, because the topic of radioactive in the literature is raised very rarely.
I really can advise it to read to everyone.
I hope that you'll want to read it and you'll like it just like me.
