Congrats on starting your foray into the SW universe!  I'll admit I absolutely was head over heels for the universe...up until the prequels (Ep. 1 thru 3).  Because I read man o f the novels, played several video games and played a couple different version of the pen-and-paper RPG's I knew a lot about the history of the universe.  But when the prequels came out they rewrote several things.  And since Disney bought them out they've flat out said that they are making their own history and to discount a lot of what came before in other media.  But still all in all I do love the SW universe.  IN fact when I finally get some ink on me I'm going to get the Mandalorian symbol on my upper left arm just like a certain bounty hunter. ;-)
