So I was listening to Y!Music tonight and I came across some station that played hits from the mid 90s. Normally I dont listen to pop music but back then I just got my drivers license and my car only had a radio so I listened to what was popular back then. So listening to the orginal SG's, the Spice Girls, was a blast from the past. Kind of a weird feeling I must say. I never was much of a fan but I remember all their songs. Come to think of it, alot of female acts back then were pretty lame in retrospect. sorry if I touch a nerve but Paula Cole, Shawn Colvin, Alanis Morrisette, Merideth Brooks...they were pretty terrible in my opinion. On top of that, I believe they were all Grammy winners too. I will say that back then I liked Jewel and I still enjoy listening to her now and then. Anyways just my thoughts on the music from back in the day, I realize Im probably dating myself and Im beginning to sound like an old fogey, but it was bound to happen. haha.
