"wicked" IS a new england thing.. I said "wicked cold" the other day and I wanted to slap myself..I guess it's better than saying freakin' which is a new jersey thing.
Light and dark are relative. As are any adjective terms. What we see is only as we see it, no one else can see it the same way. (And I mean 'see' as in 'experience', for even the blind can see.) In that, we must be tolerant of other points of view and communicate superfluously in order to be able to experience life in the fullest. One man's darkness is another's light, and unless the two converse, they will never know that their perceptions might have been in err, that an inner harmony might be more attainable than they think.
So many people live in that same sort of funk, and never know different. When some small kindness shows them a bright spot, it's sometimes more brilliant than they can actually stand and they hide even farther in their funk, while others wouldn't even be able to recognize the kind act for what it truly is- light in a dark world- because they already think they hung the sun and moon.
Happy Halloween!!!
I'm not really here...
