The Lighthouse For The Blind
I may seem a little out of line on this one, but since when the hell do
blind people need a light house? I smell a scamOur hard earned
tax dollarswell, for those of us who pay taxes, are being
squandered on a beacon of light for people who cant see where
they are pissing, let alone a light warning them that their ship is
about to run ashore into huge fucking rocks. And what are they
doing driving boats anyway? Or is it piloting boats? Regardless,
blind people dont need a lighthouse.
Of course some of you may say, Hey dipshit, Lighthouse For The
Blind is an organization for visually impaired people to allow them to
work and gain a sense of independence. My response immediately
isZip it, before I degrade your mom using a can of Crisco and a
nine iron.
I know that this is a company for blind people to make some money
because they suck at every other job. My problem with this is that
the company employs these blind asses to manufacture products for
the public. Products such as, magnifiers, lighting, clocks and
watches, closed circuit TV's, signature guides, and tactile markers.
This begs the question; would you buy a car from an Ethiopian?
No.
And why is that? Because they dont know what cars are.
Would you lend a Jew $20? No.
And why.you would never get it back.
So what gives blind people the right to produce products such as
closed circuit t.v.s, lighting, or clocks? Most of these people have
never seen such items. Granted, most of the products come off the
line in a recognizable form, but thats only because someone with
eye sight guided them. This leads to the problem of micro
management. People with sight have to baby-sit these blind people
and waste precious time that could be spent on streamlining the
production process.
Another way to look at it is, if Bill Gates employed kids with downs
syndrome to develop his software.
Fact of the matter is, blind people need to revisit their niche in
society. Standing on street corners begging for change. I wouldnt
mind seeing them in the car race circuit however. Have 3 or 4 in
every NASCAR event. But the other racers cant know who they
are, they have to find out the hard way, Earnhardt style. stc

I saw a blind man on the tram. He had a bright red flower in his lapel. I felt like it was his own little subversion - a gentle fuck you at the world. It made me smile.
