I wanted to throw some questions out there for anyone willing to answer them...about religion. I am not trying to debate or argue! I mean that I have no intention of trying to persuade you of anything and I would expect the same courtesy. ☺️
I was contemplating some NIN music, the song Terrible Lie in particular. And it made me think: Every person I can think of, myself included, that was raised in a very religious environment had/has a serious anger issue with our change to atheism. It makes perfect sense really...I can get into the "why" later for anyone who wants it; it's complicated. 😂 Anyway!
1) For the people who went from moderate-intensely religious who became atheists: Where you angry? With yourself, your family or church, with god? Why?
2) For those who also came from a strong religious background, but didn't become atheist; agnostic or still believing in god: What made you want to "downgrade" or change your religious views? Why do you still believe in god/creator/etc... after rejecting the rest of your religion?
Ok, that was technically 4 questions...hopefully you lovely people will answer them anyway. 😊 Yes, I will also try to find out the answers to these in he various religious/anti-religion groups. 😉
Anyone wanting to know my answer(s) can DM me.
